Katherine

All cats which come into my yard are my favourite. All of them are Kichka`s children, and they naturally look alike. Which makes me think Katherine isn`t her kitten. She turned up on one cold winter Saturday last January – starving. She came in front of the stairs and began meowing plaintively. “Well, fine, go to eat from the pan, there is some for you, too,” I told her smiling. Since then she has been coming, eating, and leaving. She doesn`t let me get close to her, she doesn`t let me pet her. Today she stayed lingered, probably because Kichka isn`t here. Katherine came with Sivelia. They turned up their noses at the food, but they ate it up, though. Sivelia left in the afternoon, but Katherine continued sleeping on the stairs. Here she is, thoughtful – she didn`t let me pet her again, but at least she let me take a photo of her.
